  • Rigs
    • One of the best places where you can find rigged 3D models for Blender is Blendswap. Blendswap offers a range of rigs, from basic to production-style. You can choose to use it for free or with a subscription. Click here to visit Blendswap.
    • AnimSchool, an accredited online animation school, offers a free rig. The rig is known as the 'Malcolm rig,' and it is an advanced production-style rig that you can use in your own videos. The rig only works with Autodesk Maya. Click here to download the free Malcolm rig.
    • Another online school, Animation Mentor, is currently offering two of its rigs for free:
      1. the 'Squirrels rig'
      2. the 'Stewart rig'
      The Squirrels rig is basically a ball with a tail, while the Stewart rig is a beginner-friendly body mechanics rig. The rigs only work with Autodesk Maya. Click here to download the Squirrels and Stewart rigs.
     
  • Sets
    • One of the best sets for Autodesk Maya, Blender, and Maxon Cinema 4D is the Animator Starter Pack. This starter pack has over 50 different 3D sets and locations, which you are free to use in your own animations. Click here to download the Animator Starter Packs.
    • While it does not offer sets, HDRI Haven offers 100% free high-quality HDRI's that you can use in your own renders and animations. Click here to visit HDRI Haven.
     
  • Models
    • The Agora offers rigs as well as models for free. All 3D assets are rigged and modeled by professionals, and they only work with Autodesk Maya and Autodek 3Ds Max. Click here to visit the Agora's assets page.
     
  • Learning resources
    • Digital Creator School offers great courses for those just getting started with learning 3D animation. Their courses are paid, but there's a monthly and an annual membership that grants you access to all their courses. Click here to visit the Digital Creator School Website.
